Pilates Essentials employs the same exercise principles taught by founder Joseph Pilates. Attention to control of movement together with focused breathing ensure a quality of exercise. Consisting of over 500 exercise variations each one is intended to strengthen, elongate, and tone your body. The benefits of Pilates based training are all achieved through the study of basic mat work principles. These principles are then advanced with the assistance of specialized STOTT® equipment such as Reformers, Split Pedal Chairs, and the Cadillac. Pilates Essentials is a fully equipped studio.


New clients must complete 2 initial private sessions. One on one instruction affords the trainer an opportunity to assess your individual physical needs, and clearly understand your goals. Lasting 50 minutes in length, these sessions include a postural analysis, a brief overview of the Pilates experience, followed by an introduction to the basic principles.
